A subset of the EMBASE database, Drugs & Pharmacology
provides comprehensive, world-wide coverage of the drug and
pharmacology literature. Topics included are the effects and uses of
drugs and drugs being developed, clinical and experimental aspects of
pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, side effects, and adverse
reactions. Coverage includes all letters, reviews, editorial notes, and
commentaries, in addition to every article. Records contain citations
and abstracts.

Pharmacy, a subset of the EMBASE database, covers all aspects of drug
formulation, regulations and legal aspects, quality procedures, and
pharmaceutical technology. The EMBASE databases complement the
information available in MEDLINE. Records Contain Citations and
Abstracts.
Please note: These databases are searched using the same strategies as CINAHL, the nursing database.

Reports information on over 5000 products, updating every

FDA reports are updated yearly. Includes side effects, drug
interactions, and
prices.
Mosby’s Drug Consult http://www.mosbysdrugconsult.com/
Provides information on the top 200 prescribed drugs,
including prices. Features news articles, FDA drug approvals, drug
indication and dosage updates, safety alerts, and links to

Free searchable site provided by Johns Hopkins Division of
Infectious Diseases, which provides “point-of-care” information about
the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Requires
registration to search by diagnosis, pathogen, and antibiotics. Site
also provides free material for the pocket Blueberry, Pocket PC, and
Palm. News and
literature reviews are also featured.
