The Collection's primary purpose is to provide the visual resources necessary and desirable for the teaching of classes in Boston College's Fine Arts curriculum. Thus, I base collection development on the classes being taught by departmental faculty. I will work with new faculty, or faculty teaching new courses, to develop particular areas of the collection if holdings in the faculty member's area of interest are deemed inadequate.
