INSTALLING
SOUNDS ON YOUR PC
(Sounds that you install on your PC as standard sounds must
be in the ".wav" format.)
- Double-click
on the "My Computer" icon.
- Open
"System [C:]" drive.
- Open
"Windows" folder.
- Open
"Media" folder.
- Copy
sound files from floppy disk into Media folder.
- Double-click
on the "My Computer" icon.
- Open
the "Control Panel" folder.
- Open
"Sounds."
- Single
click on an "Event."
- Choose
a sound for that event by clicking the Browse button and
selecting a sound from your "Media" folder. (If your computer
opens to something other than your Media folder, the pathway
is C:/ drive, then "Windows" folder, then "Media" folder).

Repeat Step 10 to assign sounds to other "Events."

FINDING SOUND FILES YOU'VE LISTENED TO VIA THE NET
- Open
your "System [C:]" drive.
- Open
Program Files folder.
- Open
Netscape.
- Open
Users.
- Open
Default (unless you have created Users for your Netscape-
in which case, open the User file that you normally use).
- Open
Cache.
- Under
the "View" menu, select "Arrange Icons - By
Date." The files you have most recently loaded will now
be at the top of your Cache list.
