How can I help?
 | You can help prevent 25% of children dying before they reach the age of five |
 | You can help a child attend school and prepare for the challenges in a rapidly changing
future |
 | You can help save the rain forest by empowering the Efe and Lese who for generations
have used the forest wisely. |
Even a small contribution to the Ituri Forest
Peoples Fund goes a long way.
The Ituri Fund is supported by private donations, and the sale of Efe and Lese-made
items at the annual Cultural Survival Bazaar. The fund augments the efforts of the
community by helping the health clinic get medicines, contributing to the nurses and
teachers salaries and training, and buying school books in Swahili and French that
are unavailable in Congo.
 | $50 will cure 10 children with malaria. |
 | $25 will pay a teacher's salary for a month. |
 | $20 will treat 10 children with intestinal worms. |
 | $15 will buy school writing materials for a month. |
The fund is managed solely by volunteers and its finances are overseen by Cultural
Survival. Over 90% of the money donated goes directly to the Efe and Lese - not to
administrative costs and salaries. The Fund would like to provide secondary school
scholarships and train additional health workers. Your contribution will have an immediate
impact on Efe and Lese children and their families, and through your support of education
will help the children meet the challenges of an uncertain future.
