This was one of the best courses I have taken as a result of Ian. He truly makes learning fun and grades very fairly and objectively. Very encouraging of participation, uses visuals very well. Makes class interesting and open to student needs. Professor Walsh was a very caring and helpful professor who always put his full effort into teaching. Playing music at the start of each class helped to wake the class up and I enjoyed the many group activities. His class is very enjoyable and I found class to pass quickly while still learning a great deal. He was always very prepared for class and motivates the class effectively. Makes class conducive to discussion, uses innovative ideas and powerpoint presentations. Very knowledgeable about material, engages students in class and always offered to help students outside of class. Made class interesting by not doing the same thing every class. He was one of the better professors I've had at BC in terms of eloquence, lecturing and keeping the interest of the students. He is well organized, has excellent presentation skills, and his classes are intuitive, creative and interesting. He makes class worth going to, adds realistic examples to explain material. This was a great teacher, a great time and I actually learned from him. I really enjoyed this course, especially how the professor made it enjoyable with creative powerpoints, music and lectures. He made the classroom a fun, energetic environment. He really cared about the students and their needs. You can tell he truly takes his job seriously and does it well. One of the best classes I've taken at BC. Looked forward to it and often enjoyed doing the work required.

A bit less stringent
participation policy.
Make material covered more difficult. One of the best classes I have taken here! Didn't like being in project groups for all activities. There are other people in the class. EXCELLENT class, I learned valuable info that I can actually apply to my life. Classtime was fun and I actually wanted to come. Frustrating that you have to do so much extra stuff for a good participation grade. Make the midterm and finals take home papers. I'd like a little more direction on papers and projects. He made a very boring required course enjoyable. Focus more on what will be on exams. More group activities. More written assignments or exams. Incorporate more career-based examples so students could see where material related in many different settings. Group projects should be graded on a curve.
