Prior to returning to school, I worked in Human Resources for 8 years. See below for a summary of my work experience. I have continued to work for Teradyne on a series of learning and development projects. Most recently, I updated their training materials for a standards of business conduct with a new introduction and some new scenarios.
Teradyne, Inc. September 1997 – present
Human Resources Manager/Total Quality Management Program Manager March 2002- September 2003
General and Administrative Division,
· Combined two management roles to integrate services of HR and TQM functions for corporate organization of 550 employees.
· Developed new tools to support stock options planning, headcount analysis, and metrics tracking.
· Coached employee teams to develop skill in use of TQM methodology and related tools.
· Introduced extended employee orientation program and created related processes to support introduction of new hires to Teradyne.
· Partnered with IT management to plan and execute an outsourcing strategy and change in organization design.
Semiconductor Test Division,
· Provided HR support to newly formed engineering organization with employee populations at 10 locations across US.
· Increased technical talent in ASIC engineering group by developing and implementing a recruiting infrastructure to hire semiconductor design engineers.
· Improved recruiting peformance by creating HR dashboard for review with management team to measure key recruiting and headcount metrics, and identifying corrective action plans.
· Reduced headcount in non-critical functions by planning and executing downsizing activities.
· Participated in core project team for the development of a companywide HR strategy.

Established internal equity for engineering and
marketing organizations through leadership of an employee leveling project and
introduction of new leveling guidelines and job titles.
Human Resources Officer January 2000 – May 2001
Teradyne Ireland Ltd.,
· Managed HR department of six staff members for Teradyne’s Ireland operations.
· Planned headcount requirements with management and developed plans to increase workforce to meet capacity requirements.
· Increased employee headcount by over 100% (from 150 to 380) in 12 months while reducing average time to fill active requisitions from over 100 days to 64 days.
· Reduced hiring from fee agencies from 70% to 45% through implementation of web recruiting strategy and local design of employee referral reward program.
· Participated in planning and executing strategy to expand Teradyne’s presence in Ireland through opening of new manufacturing facility in County Cavan.
· Led project team from Request for Proposal stage through eventual vendor selection for implementation of new payroll software.
Human Resources Representative September 1997 – January 2000
Assembly Test Division,
· Provided HR generalist support to division of 250 engineering and operations employees and management staff, including participation in Division Quality Council and goal setting process.
· Developed strategy to maximize employee retention during relocation of the division to North Reading. Led employee committee focused on internally promoting the new facility.
· Recruited engineering staff for division’s optical inspection startup project team.
· Led quality improvement team charged with designing a new orientation module, including an introduction of division products and technology to new employees.
Data General Corporation, Westboro MA January 1996 - August 1997
· Provided HR generalist and recruiting support to startup internet appliance business
· Introduced college recruiting campaign yielding 50 graduate hires and 12 interns in first 12 months.
· Participated in cross-functional team that introduced company’s initial web-based employee self service product.
