Course Announcements
- The casebook has now been delivered to the bookstore. The statutory
supplement has been ordered and should arrive early in the week of August
25, 2003. You can find a web version of the present copyright code at www.copyright.gov/title17/
and a copy of the 1909 copyright code at www.kasunic.com/1909_act.htm
or www.megalaw.com/top/copyright/1909cact.php.
- The material in Chapter 1 of the casebook is background material
that you should read soon, preferably before the first class.
- For the first class, August 27, I plan to discuss the material
on pp. 67-81 fairly quickly, and then concentrate on the material found
on pp. 101-111 of the casebook (the Burrow-Giles case and the Bleistein
case).
- There will be no class on Wednesday, September 17 and Friday, September
19. The Wednesday class will be made up on Monday, September 15 at 12:00-1:15
in Stuart 402. The Friday class will be made up at the end of the semester
as a review session.
