Course Description: MT101 is a second course in the calculus of one variable intended for biology, computer science, economics, management, and premedical students. It is open to others who are qualified and desire a more rigorous mathematics course at the core level.

Topics include an overview of integration, basic techniques for integration, a variety of applications of integration, and an introduction to (systems of) differential equations.
Exams: There are two in-class midterm exams on  October 21, and November 20 and a final December 14. The use of a calculator is not allowed during the exams. You will be allowed to take one page of notes into the exam. Missing an exam (final or a midterm) is only excused by emergency medical treatment or a family emergency. In either case the student must submit a letter to the instructor either from a doctor or a college Dean giving justification for their action. The letter must be submitted to the instructor within a week of the exam.
Assignments: Weekly assignments will be posted on the class website every Friday and collected the following Friday class for grading. Students may discuss assignments with fellow students but must write up their own solutions. Assignments should be written neatly and clearly. Late assignments will not be accepted but the two lowest assignment grades will be dropped.
Final Exam: The final is cumulative and will be on Dec 14, from 4:00-6.00 p.m.
Grade System: 25% Midterm 1
