Mary Ellen
Carter has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from
Professor Carter studies the effects of financial reporting and regulation on incentives and executive compensation. Her recent research includes investigations of the effect of stock-option repricing on employee turnover, the role of accounting and tax rules in shaping executive compensation, and the influence of consultants on CEO pay. Her research has been published in leading academic journals and has been featured in Forbes and other business media. |
