Principal Investigator of the Career and Family Opportunity Study, a five-year project of the Crittenton Women’s Union in Boston, examining the complex pathways and impact of a comprehensive education and career development program, serving low-income parents.

         Co-Principal Investigator on Engaging Workers and Improving Care, an interndisciplinary interdisciplinary research team with Brandeis University, studying a labor/management healthcare program sponsored by Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Commonwealth Foundation.
2004 - 2005
         Co-Principal Investigator on Better Jobs and Better Care, in collaboration with Brandeis University and funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Atlantic Philanthropy, studying work experiences and perspectives of frontline careworkers.
2002-2003
         Principal Investigator of Lower-Income Work and Family Research Project, funded by the Ford Foundation, examining effects of unsustainable but demanding jobs on parents, children, family life and community institutions including childcare centers, schools and workplaces.
