  First Mid-Term Information

The first mid-term will be during class time on Tuesday, October 6. It will be a closed-book exam similar to last year's exam. The class on Thursday, October 1 will be a review session for the mid-term exam. You can link to an on-line version of the Review Guide for the first mid-term, and you can also view last year's first mid-term. You are welcome to ask any and all questions during Thursday's mid-term review session.

Second Mid-Term Information

The second mid-term will be during class time on Thursday, November 5. It will be a closed-book exam similar to last year's exam, and it will cover material primarily from chapters 6-10 from the textbook. However, be sure to review the material from the first 5 chapters as some ideas from those chapters may appear on this mid-term exam. The class on Tuesday, November 3 will be a review session for the mid-term exam. You can link to an on-line version of the Review Guide for the second mid-term, and you can also view last year's second mid-term. You are welcome to ask any and all questions during Tuesday's mid-term review session.

The lab/discussion hour is a mandatory part of this course, and you should plan to attend all lab sessions. If you are not scheduled for a lab, see me or contact one of our Teaching Assistants, Yu Xie or Josh Sovie (see above).
