Beyond Expectations Funding Body: $430,000 Dates: 2007 Principal Investigators: Andy Hargreaves and Alma Harris, University of Warwick UK RO/GA: Corrie Johnson Description: This project identifies indicators of organizations that consistently (but not necessarily continuously) perform above expectations in four spheres of education, health, business and sport. A broad sample of initial cases, followed by a set of intensive case investigations follow to determine the leadership qualities, characteristics, cultures and practices associated with sustained performance in the four sectors, and to establish the extent to which these leadership characteristics are or could be transferable across them.
