I am currently a PhD candidate in the Finance Department at Boston College. My main research interest is in empirical corporate finance and institutional investors, with current emphases on hedge fund activism and corporate control, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure, security issuance, and mutual funds.
I won several academic awards, including the American Finance Association (AFA) Student Travel Grant, a Best Dissertation Proposal Award in Financial Markets & Institutions at the 2008 Financial Management Association meetings, the Outstanding Paper Award in Investments at the 2008 Southern Finance Association meetings, and the Outstanding PhD Student Paper Award at the 2008 Eastern Finance Association meetings. My single-authored research has been accepted for presentation at the AFA and the European Finance Association (EFA) meetings.
My teaching interests include undergraduate and graduate classes in corporate finance, capital markets, financial institutions, and investments.
