Welcome to Kelly Kearns' Home Page!
Hello, and welcome to my website. I am a full-time student at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, under the advisement of Dr. Susan Bruce. In May of 2008, I will graduate with my M.Ed in Severe Disabilities.
Currently, I work as an assistant teacher in an inclusion preschool classroom in the Newton Public Schools (NPS), located at NPS' Ed Center in Newtonville, MA. The classroom is comprised of 5 students with severe and multiple disabilities and 7 students who are typically developing. My head teacher holds an M.Ed degree in Severe Disabilities and Deafblindness. Under her are 5 assistant teachers, myself included. The rest of our educational team in the classroom is comprised of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Teacher of the Visually Impaired, Orientation/Mobility Instructor and Social Worker.
