Our Mission:
The Boston College Coalition for Israel (BCCI) brings together students, faculty, and staff who wish to:
- Promote knowledge of and appreciation for Israel and Israeli culture
- Promote a fair and accurate portrayal of the Israeli/Arab conflict
- Counter anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic propaganda with its distortion of the history of this tragic conflict
- Support Israel's right to be a Jewish state with secure, defensible borders
- Foster mutual understanding that will lead to a peaceful and dignified coexistence for the peoples of the region
- Encourage opportunities for BC students, faculty and staff to visit and study in Israel

About Israel:
- Israel is a strong US ally that is on the frontlines in the fight against terror.
- Israel is also is also the region's leading democratic state and the one Middle-Eastern society that reflects broad western values such as freedom of religion, freedom of the press, and equality of men and women in both culture and law.
- Israel’s science and technology sectors produce innovations used around the world, such as drip irrigation for agriculture and computer instant messaging.
- Israel is also the land of the Bible, and as such is custodian of holy places of great importance today to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, including the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Way of the Cross, and the Al-Aqsa mosque.
- It is also the site of innumerable archaeological remains of ages past, from ancient synagogues to Roman amphitheatres to Crusader castles.
