This seminar is an advanced intellectual property course focusing on legal issues surrounding computer software. Topics will include: protection for software under copyright, patent, trademark and trade secret; contractual protection, including shrink-wrap licenses and UCITA; and sui generis proposals for protecting software. The grade for this course will be based on class participation, a number of small written assignments, and a final paper. An introductory intellectual property class is a prerequisite. Enrollment is limited to 20. LL33001.
