Megan McDonald Way – doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics at Boston College, expected PhD completion in summer 2008, research interests: labor, applied microeconomics and international trade and development.   Prior to going to graduate school, I spent eight years as a marketing professional in the software industry, including a wild few years in an Internet startup and extensive international experience.

My dissertation focuses on intergenerational transfers, and particularly how demographic changes in marriage are affecting the way money gets passed between the generations.   My other interests include immigration/migration, remittances and international business networks.  I have also participated in a fascinating study group on economics and evolutionary biology, examining how evolutionary forces may drive our preference formation.

I am currently on the job market.   Please feel free to download my materials and then contact me with any questions.
