Description
Theology of the sacraments primarily as embodied in Roman Catholic liturgical tradition, through study of official documents, history, contemporary systematic theologies, and insights from the social sciences. While focused on Catholicism, the nature of this subject also requires attention to the theologies, practices, and histories of other Christian ecclesial bodies, as well as some attention to Judaism. Methodological questions will be highlighted for this sub-discipline in systematic theology.
