Pentecote 2

Bruce T. Morrill, S.J.
Associate Professor, Theology Department

College of Arts & Sciences, Boston College

Syllabus
Second half of a two semester course fulfilling BC's undergraduate core requirement in theology, featuring systematic and liturgical theologies of the sacraments, ecclesiology, and moral theology

Term Paper   Participant-observer study of liturgies in the Boston Area with description and analysis based on theologies studied in the course.
Students choose from two options for fieldwork: either a comparative analysis of two Sunday liturgies or a study of an Easter Vigil that includes Christian Initiation.  Extensive guidelines prepare for the fieldwork. Thereafter comes the work of writing according to the specific paper guide, including a supplement for those opting for the Easter Vigil.

Student Work, 2008    The professor is delighted to share three of the stronger papers: two comparative studies, and one on the Easter Vigil.
