NU523: Computer Analysis of Health Care Data. Syllabus
Meets Wednesdays 5pm - 8pm
(OPTIONAL COURSE TO MEET MASTER'S PROGRAM RESEARCH REQUIREMENT -- OPEN TO NURSING & NON-NURSING STUDENTS)
Learn a little about EXCEL and the Internet. Learn a lot about SPSS and statistics while you play with a household survey of HIV risk behaviors.
Designed with a long lab period to accomodate all levels of computer skills (from those who don't know where the disk goes to those who speak UNIX). You can stay and do your homework with my help and BC's machines or go home and work on your own in your own time.
After four semesters of teaching
this course, no one has yet torn out all their hair or thrown the computer
out the window
...although I can't say that none of us have ever thought about it!
