Located in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the small, beautiful island of St. John is a wonderful place to vacation anytime of the year. It is a wonderful place for families to escape from Boston because it is easy to get to. The plane ride is only a little over four hours from Boston to St. Thomas, then you take a thirty minute ferry ride to St. John. There are many activities that include snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, sailing, boating, and parasailing. St. John is located in a perfect place because there is easy access by ferry or boat to other islands, including St. Thomas, Tortolla, and the tiny island of Jost Van Dyke. This tropical escape has wonderful wild life that has been preserved due to the fact that most of the island is part of the National Park. I highly recommend this quaint escape that is home to some of the top beaches in the world. It is a wonderful place to relax and soak in the sun.
