I presented to both the Library and Technology Services Staff and the faculty-at-large, through the Committee for the Support of Teaching, at Brandeis University. The presentation demonstrated the use of the Universal Design for Learning framework, coupled with the sensible use of technology, to foster a supportive learning environment for all students, especially those with disabilities.

As a part of Boston College's Teachers for a New Era New Teachers Academy, I demonstrated for pre-service and in-service secondary teachers several different kinds of emerging technologies that can be used in the classroom to engage students in the learning process.

As a part of my Graduate Research Assistanceship, I assisted in the professional development session for one module for teachers involved in the pilot study of the National Science Foundation-funded urban ecology curriculum. I was primarily responsible for several aspects of the session, including introducing a web-based version of the curriculum and the Action Plan component of the curriculum (below).
