Abstracts of Selected Problem Solving Works:
These are 3 abstracts from selected problem solving works I have read during my tenure in the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. The first is from Davidson & Sternberg’s The Psychology of Problem Solving. The second is from Elizabeth Cohen’s work Designing Group Work. The third and final abstract is from a chapter in Mariane Hedegaard’s 1990 work Vygotsky and Education: Instructional Implications and Applications of Sociohistorical Psychology. These are truly great works, and my intent with these abstracts is to encourage you to read them yourselves and implement the ideas in your own classroom or profession.
