Olga Sorokina is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Boston College. Her thesis title is Essays in Applied Econometrics and Labor Economics. Her job market paper "Credit Constraints in the Demand for Education: Evidence from Survey Data." has been accepted for publication by The B.E. Journal of Economic Analysis and Policy, pending revisions.
Ms. Sorokina received her undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from Denison University majoring in Mathematical Economics. She earned a Master's in Economics degree at Boston College. The fields of her research are labor economics, economics of education, and applied microeconomics. She is particularly interested in public fianace, human capital development, income inequality, and retirement security .
Apart from economics research, Olga enjoys volunteering, windsurfing, and running. She participated in her first 10K race in October 2006.
