OTHER INTERESTS (AND RELATED WEB LINKS)
I've finally finished climbing all 48 4000' peaks of New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest. So, I’m a member of the 4000 Footer Club (proof)! Now on to VT & ME! Other climbing trips have included Mt Whitney (CA 14,496') Tempest Mtn (MT 12,478') and Mt Elbert (CO 14,433'). Scotland, too. Related links:
Singing
I sing in the Tenor section of the Dedham Choral Society. I also occasionally sing with the University Chorale of Boston College.

Birdwatching
I'm a regular on the annual Stellwagen Bank Christmas Birdcount and I spent two weeks in Antarctica in 1995, checking out the penguins. Summer 1999 brought a cruise of the British Isles for two weeks during nesting season on the Inner & Outer Hebrides and the Orkney Islands.
Travel
Major excursions over the years have included:
41 US states, including Alaska & Hawaii;
England, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Canada, Argentina, Granada, Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St John, Venezuela, Mexico, Antarctica, Iceland (Iceland Pictures 1&2, Picture 3) and Scotland (pic)! Last summer's excitement was climbing Mt Rainier (see above)
Running
I run several 10k races each year, my favorites being:
Eagles Hockey
Need we say more?
Single Malt Scotch
Along with traveling in Scotland comes the required visit to a distillery or two (three actually) to sample the goods. The best tour is at Glenfiddich, though I've also stopped in on Glen Grant, Edradour, Talisker, Oban, Glen Ord, and Highland Park in the Orkney's. At present, I tend to be partial to Cragganmore, Bowmore, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Oban, & Talisker. Ardbeg is also tops on the list...
