On May 13, 2002 the time came to bring the pups to their 30-day quarantine period before they could go on exhibit at the Stone Zoo. The quarantine period took place at the Franklin Park Zoo, Zoo New England's main headquarters. The pups were very healthy and were given their routine vaccinations while there. However, they were given medication for salmonella and kennel cough and, fortunately, were able to test negative for both of these by the end of 30 days.
