On June 13, 2002 the pups were transferred to their final destination, the Stone Zoo, their permanent home for the rest of their lives. Here are some pictures of their first few weeks.

Overview
of their exhibit replicating the Sierra Madre. The exhibit behind the pups is
home to two cougars. Notice the glass on the right of the picture where the
general public can view them from. During zoo hours I do not interact with the
pups. We do not want to give the impression that coyotes make good pets - however,
anyone would just need to look at my cuts and bruises to figure that out!
Lupe, profile, on exhibit.
Trans eating halfway in den box. The pups (at 3 months of age) are given 3 lb
of exotic canine meat (basically ground up horsemeat), unlimited dog chow/kibble,
and rats and mice while on exhibit. Not a bad life considering where they would
be right now - next to major roads and many houses. That is, if they would even
be alive (i..e., Trans and Late).
