We have found that coyotes appear to be territorial on Cape Cod

And they regularly move long distances (although usually not quite this long).

Sill moved >25 miles in one night. He was exloring off his home range and, amazingly, found his group (father=Kett) by midnight.

This figure really demonstrates how coyotes space their territories on Cape Cod.

Initial results of our only collared Boston coyote has shown similiar patterns from Cape Cod in that this coyote (Maple - ID#BN0202) uses a large area. We have already documented her in parts of 5 towns: Revere (where captured), Saugus, Lynn, Peabody, and Malden in the Boston area.
