Welcome to Aaron Zarwan's Web site!
I am currently an MBA candidate at the
Carroll School of Management at Boston College. I am a student in Dr. Robert G. Fichman's Computer Information Systems course. If you would like to learn about my professional experience please read my résumé.
More about me...
I am passionate about how Intellectual Property Law is impacting the
Internet and the evolving role of the Internet in modern society. One
couse that has strongly influenced my outlook on these issues is The Internet and Society: The
Technologies and Politics of Control, which I completed at
The Berkman
Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School .
The Berkman Center is a research program founded to explore cyberspace,
share in its study, and help pioneer its development. My brother Elijah
has also done extraordinary work in this area.
I am a former citizen of New
Orleans and graduate of Tulane University. The Crescent City is near and dear to my
heart. While living in New Orleans, I was a DJ at WTUL,
New Orleans, 91.5 FM. Another great New Orleans radio station
is: WWOZ, 90.7 FM.
If you are interested in helping to rebuild New Orleans and supporting
the city's musicians click here: http://www.wwoz.org/music_help.php.
In the spring of 1999 I had the privilege of circumnavigating the globe through The Semester at Sea program.
The diverse cultures and countries I traveled to broadened my horizons
and opened my eyes to our shared global experience.
I have yet to meet a Semester at Sea Alumni who did not enjoy their
voyage. I've attached a piece I wrote about my experiences in
Castro's Cuba.
Another place that has shaped me is Prince Edward Island, Canada, where my parents and much of my family lives. If you visit, my parents would be happy to rent our Duneside Cottage to you. The cottage is nestled in the pines and just steps away from a remote beach.
