RESEARCH AND TEACHING INTERESTS

My research interests are in the areas of corporate finance and financial reporting. I have examined how bank lending affects a firmís disclosure choices, and the role of accounting credibility in a firmís financing and investment decisions. I am also interested in the determinants and consequences of financial misstatements and earnings management. My research has appeared in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and Contemporary Accounting Research, and in the media such as The Wall Street Journal, and CFO Magazine. I have teaching interests in financial and managerial accounting.
