Please note: You must be logged into ARTstor and have instructor-level privileges in order to create folders.

  1. Click on "Share" in the ARTstor navigation bar (light green area at top) and select "Create Folder."

  2. In the Create a Folder window, type a unique name for your folder. Click "next."

  3. Click the button next to the sharing option you want to set for this folder. If you have chosen to make your folder password-accessible, you'll also need to input (and confirm) a unique password. Click "next."

  4. If you've made your folder password-accessible, in the next window you'll need to select whether you want others with access to be able to edit the contents of the folder. If you decide to allow this, you'll need to enter and confirm another password, which must be different from the one you entered in step 3. Then click "next."

  5. If you're sharing a folder with your class, you may want to allow students to create their own "work folders" within your folder. If you wish to allow this, you'll need to enter an expiration date for this kind of student access. Then click "next."

  6. Click "Finish" in the confirmation window.
