 Interactive Geometer's Sketchpad Applet: Properties of Quadrilaterals Click here to view an interactive applet that demonstrates the following theorem: "If the midpoints of any quadrilateral are joined, the resulting figure is a parallelogram." Manipulate the quadrilateral on this applet page by dragging "POINT A" with your mouse. Notice that as you drag POINT A across the screen, you change the shape of Quadrilateral ABCD. Another quadrilateral WXYZ is inscribed within ABCD. No matter the shape of ABCD, WXYZ is always a parallelogram. You can see this is true because opposite sides are parallel AND opposite angles are adjacent.
