Dr. Corsini is a faculty member in the Carroll School of Management.  He is the former dean of theGradute School of Management, Chariperson of the Accounting Department and teaches at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Professor Corsini joined the Boston College faculty in 1971.  He received his B.S. and MBA from Boston College and his Ph.D. from Louisiana State University.  Prior to full-time teaching, Dr. Corsini worked for a number of years in public accounting and is a certified public accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Professor Corsini's research interests lie in the problems of financial reporting and disclosure and business valuation.  He has published numerous articles in the accounting journals and presented papers at various accounting conferences.  For several years, he was editor of the Massachusetts CPA Review.  In 1989, Dr. Corsini was named the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants "Educator of the Year."

Professor Corsini has consulted on business valuations for a variety of clients.  In addition, he has done training with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations and served on the Governor's Management Task Force for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.

During his tenure as dean, Dr. Corsini expanded the School's international focus to include a new international concentration, several new student exchange programs, and he increased foreign student enrollments to fully one-third of the full-time class.  Since 1990 he has led the Boston College Management faculty team, as part of the U.S. Graduate Management School Consortium, in the establishment of the Jagiellonian Business School in Krakow, Poland.

In addition to increasing both the size of the MBA program and quality of the students, Dr. Corsini supervised the design and implementation of an entirely new curriculum that emphasizes the theme of management practice.
