about me

I began working with technology in the early days of personal computers after earning a degree in computer science.  At Phoenix Technologies I worked in the software tools division until a little company called Microsoft cornered the market on that business.  I developed custom software for Kronos, Inc.  before developing multimedia products for now defunct PIxelDance. Communications.

boxAt Boston College I teach a class in Television Studio Production and work fulltime in the Media Technology Services department. I oversee a staff of five graduate assistants and fifteen work-study students in the Video Services office.  We provide several services to the university community including recording classes, duplicating media and loaning video equipment.

Television Studio Production is a class in multi-camera studio production. At the end of the semester each student is required to produce and direct a short, original television program of their own, brining guest talent from outside the class. It is always rewarding to see how far the students have progressed during a single semester.
