Candace Jones received her A.B. in government from Smith
College with honors, and a Master of Human Resource Management and
Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Utah. She
joined the Organization Studies Department in 1994. Before
receiving her Ph.D., she worked for small businesses for five years and
focused on linking human resource practices with the organizations'
strategic needs. She is currently on the editorial review board for
Her research interests include project-based organizing,
interfirm networks, organizational theory and design, and careers.
She has recently concluded studies on careers in the film and
building industries, and is currently researching interfirm teams
of architects and engineers in the construction industry, effectiveness
of outsourced project teams in the film industry, and changes over
time in organizational form due to competitive dynamics, and
interfirm networks in the film industry.
